Pace Care Children's Residential Services

Pace Care is a dedicated Lancashire-based provider of high-quality residential care for children and young people aged 7 to 17 with complex behavioural, emotional, and social needs. We specialise in supporting those who, for various reasons, are unable to live at home, offering them a place where they can feel safe, valued, and understood.

Our approach is both person-centred and trauma-informed, recognising that every child’s story is unique. We use carefully developed trauma-responsive strategies, combined with comprehensive and ongoing staff training, to ensure that our team is equipped to provide consistent care in an environment of safety, stability, and empathy.

At the heart of everything we do is the PACE model—Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy—a therapeutic approach pioneered by Dr. Dan Hughes. This model underpins all of our interactions, helping to build trust, strengthen relationships, and promote emotional healing and personal growth.

Our homes are intentionally small and welcoming, designed to feel like a true “home from home.” Every space is carefully designed to be warm, safe, and supportive—an environment where children and young people can rediscover a sense of belonging, develop life skills, and work towards brighter futures.

We are committed not only to meeting regulatory standards but to exceeding them, continuously striving for excellence in care and safeguarding. Our ethos is grounded in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, no matter their past experiences.
